Finally I was free from any job and finally had the opportunity to go at the Sofia airport for a spot. As it's forbidden spotting near the runway (outside the fence of course), I decided to sit at the café and take my pictures from there. As the seats have a perfect view at the hole runway, taxiways and apron, there is a small chance to find a place while the rush hour, so I went at about eleven thirty, just to be sure I'll find a free seat. As I expected there were not many people at this time and I took a strategic place. As usual there were only an Aeroflot Tu5 (in the new c/s) and two or three B733s of Bulgaria air. After an hour all scheduled flights started arriving and a hall lot of people attacked the last free places at the café. In less than 2 hours man can see 2 Lufthansa-planes, Austrian F70/100, CSA’s B737, British A320, Air France A320, LOT ERJ170, Malev B737, 2 Alitalia MD80s and most of the Bulgaria air B737s and Hemus air BAe146s. For such an airport, it’s very much, believe me! For my misfortune my batteries went low and I had to sit and watch only. But it's interesting anyway. At about 4pm I had no more money for coffees and colas so I had to leave. Another well-spent day!
