An airplane of the Russian aviation company "Siberia" crashed by the landing at the airport in the city of Irkutsk. More than 150 people died. By the crash on the board of the plane there were 198 passengers and 8 people crew.

The plane "Airbus 310" was carrying out a flight on the line Moscow, "Domodedovo" airport - Irkutsk, Eastern Siberia. The plane was about to land at 8:00 local time. By the landing at the airport in Irkutsk, the plane went out of the track and crashed in the 2 meter high concrete barrier and then hit into a one-storey garrage. The front part of the plane is fully destroyed. The whole corps is burnt, as a fire had started immediately after the crash. 5 firework cars were fighting the fire for more than 2 hours.

According to eye-witnesses the plane was lowering down, coming from the direction of the Baikal Lake. It landed and continued on the track without hitting the brakes. After that, the cabin burst into flames and there was a hit, when the plane went trough the barrier.

Russian media announced that there were 14 children less than 12 years on the board. Most of them were going on a vacation to the Baikal Lake.

According to the Ministry of the emergency situations, until now more than 150 bodies were found. 53 people are injured and put into hospital. Nothing is known about the destiny of 26 of the people on the board. 54 people survived the aviation accident, of them a stewardess and a pilot. The Minister of the transport said also that the crew reported that they landed successfully and then suddenly the connection broke. The investigation works over several versions, including a technical fault or human mistake. France press announced that the most probable reason for the aviation accident is a refusal of the breaks.

The two black boxes of the plane were found and this will help to find out the reasons for the tragedy. A very probable reason could be the wet track of the airport, said the Minister of the transport Igor Levitin.

According to certain data, the track was wet after the rains and this could be the reason for the crash. Levitin headed the government commission, which would investigate the accident.

About 600 rescuers worked on the airport at bad visibility and rain. At certain points the savers used cutting instruments in order to reach the bodies of the dead.

At the Moscow airport Domodedovo people were waiting with troubled expectation for news from Irkstuk.

Aircraft Company "Siberia" is the second biggest Russian company, created by the Siberian branch of the monopolist "Aeroflot". In the past "Siberia" had bad reputation because of the uncertainty of its flights, but in the last few years in the carrier were invested a lot of resources and the number of technical and human mistakes dropped drastically.

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin announced the 10th of July a day of national mourning in the memory of the people who died in this accident. From the company which produced the airplane - Airbus, they sent a crew of specialists, who would co-operate the Russian authorities by the investigation.

In May last year another Airbus airplane, used by the Armenian airlines had an aviation accident over the Black Sea on the way to Sochy. 113 people died that day.
